This concept has been around for many years and has recently seen renewed interest and popularity via social media,” explains Isabelle McLeod, a skin therapist and pore rejuvenator in San Francisco. “The idea is to use a petroleum-based product as a sealer. Your hydrating or specialty serum, traps these ingredients and drives them deeper into the skin, providing faster absorption and benefits. ”
